From Lynnette Shaw‘s website:

A Carlton small business owner, Lynnette Shaw is a proven job-creator who is proud to call Yamhill County home. Lynnette is running to serve House District 24 because she knows that working together and building consensus is the only way to deliver real progress for our families, our small businesses, and our local farms.

Lynnette believes that small businesses are the backbone of our community, and that’s why she has hired dozens of local workers, mentored other entrepreneurs, and served as president of the Carlton Business Association. She knows firsthand how innovation and economic growth can be stalled by red tape and inflexibility, which is why she will work to ensure farms and businesses have the support they need to get off the ground, grow and create good-paying, local jobs. Lynnette will be a strong advocate for our agricultural, manufacturing and agrotourism economies by working to streamline regulations and repair our aging roads.

Lynnette understands that we have to invest in our future, and that starts with education. College and post-high school programs such as career and technical education and apprenticeships are essential to students’ economic future. Lynnette will invest in job training programs, increase college scholarships and work to address the rising cost of tuition.
