From Mayor Scott Hill‘s Facebook page:
My family and I moved from Portland to McMinnville in 1992 with a change in assignment with my employer, KeyBank. With our first visit to this city, we fell in love with its livability, location, and beauty. Today after 28 years, I have the same feeling about McMinnville, yet I’d say I’m more convinced about its livability and specialness. It is a phenomenal place to live, raise a family, work, go to church, play and now retire.
In 2015, I retired from banking after 37 years as a senior level leader with commercial, retail, investment and mortgage experience. Over those year’s this community has provided me the opportunity to give back through civic and community service. I have spent the last 26 years on the city budget committee and 12 years representing ward 1 on the city council and 2 years as Council President.
I’m committed to the community in which I live and have been involved with the McMinnville Chamber, McMinnville Downtown Association, the Library Foundation, United Way, American Lung Association and the Oregon Partnership. I was elected Mayor in November 2016 and feel a great sense of responsibility to represent the citizens of this community. The years ahead are going to need a seasoned leader as we move through this pandemic and rebuild our economic stability within this community we love!
